About Laurino Pedigree

An extremely valuable Lauries Crusador xx son

A half-Thoroughbred stallion with a large frame, significant points, strong moving and especially rideable. Laurino took his performance test in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, where he received extremely high scores in dressage, his special discipline. In competition sport he has won classes up to Intermédiaire I and has been trained to Grand Prix. In Denmark he is already a highly profiled sire and has produced premium foals for many years that win championships and bring the highest prices at auctions. His eldest offspring are under saddle and compete successfully in basic tests for youngsters. Several of his daughters have received premiums.

With offspring such as Heslegards Louis/Gerda Lehmann/Greece, who participated in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the World Cup finalist Lesotho/Ellen Schulten-Baumer, Le Bo/Carola Koppelmann who placed fifth in the German Championships and the WC participant Le Primeur/Line Wettstein/Switzerland, his sire Lauries Crusador xx is one of the most important dressage-makers in Germany. More than 40 of his sons were licensed. He was awarded the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year title in 2006, an honor never bestowed on a Thoroughbred before. The dam's sire Weltmeyer was Bundeschampion, won his licensing and stallion performance test and was a DLG-Champion. He wrote history in breeding right at the very beginning of his career as a sire. He sired several licensing winners, Bundeschampions and stallion performance test winners. Sherlock Holmes, found in the third generation, impressively represented his breeding area at the 1992 Bundeschampionat for German riding horses.

Further information:

After doing an outstanding job at his stallion performance test with equally high scores in dressage and jumping, Sherlock Holmes was further trained to advanced (S) level. He was a strongly utilized stallion and produced several sons that were licensed, including Sherwood/private stallion Holstein, Shakespeare in Love/private stallion Hanover and Sir Schölling/private stallion Westphalia) as well as offspring that were successful in dressage as well as show jumping up to advanced (S) level. With Novum xx, Diplomat and Wöhler, the following generations are filled with sires from the traditional Hanoverian station in Burlage. Laurino comes from the Hanoverian mare family 158/Anweisung (by Aconit-Feiner Kerl, etc.) which was maintained near the station in Altenbruch located near the city of Cuxhaven. The line produced 24 licensed stallions, including Amtsjäger I-IV, Düppel (State Stud Celle), Gymnast (Great Britain), Harlekin (private stallion Oldenburg), Woernitz (private stallion Rhineland-Pfalz, Denmark, performance test winner) and the internationally successful show jumpers Ajscha/Frank Plock, Fabiana 18/Mylene Diedrichsmeier and Zseni 2/Jürgen Mayer.

Licensed for Oldenburg, Westphalia and Rhineland as well as all Southern German and new German State Verbands. Also licensed for Denmark.
