Champion Stallion ZfdP 2010 – winner of the 30-day test 2011
Born in Switzerland, he has a most fitting name! Swiss Made was a premium stallion and the best ZfdP stallion at the licensing in Kreuth in 2010 where he received the highest scores of all stallions presented. Finely lined, this beautifully marked great grandson of Sandro Hit is most comfortable to ride and also has formidable jumping qualities. He proved his exceptional talent at his 30-day test in Moritzburg in fall 2011 where he received an 8.25, the highest weighted overall score of all 20 competing stallions. Swiss Made was the only stallion to have an overall final score above 8.0 in dressage as well as jumping, proving versatility at the highest level. He was also highly placed in tests for young riding horses.
His sire, Status Quo, was the unchallenged Champion Stallion of the 2006 Oldenburg licensing in Vechta. His first sons were licensed in 2010. His dam, Verb. Pr. St. Switzerland, was the Champion of the National ZfdP Show in Grasleben in 2006. She successfully competed in youngster sport, passed her broodmare performance test with a score of 9.0 in jumping and went on to win and place in tests for young riding horses and aptitude tests. In 2000, after winning and placing in elementary (L) and medium (M) level dressage, the dam's sire, Samico was the first "colored horse" to participated in the Bundeschampionat in the class for six-year olds. From there he went on to respectable placings in medium (M) and advanced (S) level dressage classes and received the "Hessian Horse of the Year" award in 2002.
Further information:
Samico's offspring are successful at shows and even compete in dressage up to advanced (S) level. He has also sired several licensed sons, including Spirit (Austria), Störtebeker, Shakespear, Starlight F and Sifedias. Golden Chief, who is found in the third generation, had considerable influence on colored horse breeding in Hesse. On his sire's side he goes back to Abglanz/Trakehner who is also found twice on the dam's side of Samico's pedigree which means that there is a triple concentration of the line of this great line founding stallion. Through the Hanoverian half-Thoroughbreds Waidmann and Maikönig, who were active in Westphalia and are found in the fourth and fifth generations, the dam line has Dutch roots. Swiss Made is the first stallion from the Iperla line (by Reclame-Voorman) to be licensed.
Licensed for ZfdP and the European Coloured Horse Association (ECHA/ESV). An application has been made for approval by the Mecklenburg and other Warmblood Verbands.
