An exceptional sire
The second Reserve Champion, in the group of dressage stallions at the 2007 Hanoverian licensing in Verden, is a horse out of a fairy tale, sired by Calypso II who clearly influenced him: An elegant, black-brown coat that covers an ideally formed body – the large parts harmoniously integrated into a perfect silhouette. Maximum elasticity in every phase of his movements and the same over the jump. Christ manages all of his tasks with intelligence, skill and ability. Really a horse of many talents! Now he is successful in the dressage arena up to advanced (S) class. But also in breeding he made a fantastic debut: 16 sons have been licensed so far, including Collier (Mecklenburg champion stallion in 2013), Cadeau Noir, Clapton, Cristall (I-c premium stallion in Vechta), Coal Diamond (premium stallion in Verden in 2012), Crown Royal, Cognac and Cazar. Again and again, Christ knows to convince with premium foals, show champions and auction foals in different breeding areas. In 2017, too, his sons attracted attention at the licensings in Verden and Redefin. In 2013 the licensed Coal Diamond became Vice Bundeschampion of three-year old stallions in Warendorf where Christ daughter Charlotte won the qualifier in the section of three-year old mares and geldings in which she placed with the best in the final competition.
In 2015, Christella (full sister of licensing winner Collier) knew to convince as champion mare of the Mecklenburg Elite Broodmare Show in Mühlengeez. Then in 2016, Christ was again sire of further outstanding mares, such as st. pr. candidate Contenance, who was finalist at the German Broodmare Championship in Lienen, where she received a perfect 10.0 for type and scores up to 9.5 for trot. In 2017 he presented successful mares, which attracted positive attention at different show grounds in the Hanover area. Several offspring are on the way to grand prix level now.
The multi-talented sire Competent had been in Hanoverian breeding for only a few years. Beside Christ he presented another licensed son named Chatman, who has been in breeding in Bavaria, in Verden. The dam's sire Picard, 1979' licensing winner of his age group in Verden, was highly esteemed by breeders of show jumpers. In view of performance he convinces absolutely due to the further sires Pik König, Gotthard, Frustra II and Dominus in the pedigree. Furthermore, he produced numerous top-class show jumpers. The great grandsire is the powerful Thoroughbred Daimyo xx, who sired strong and long-living sport horses which were distinguished by ambitious and prudence. The descending line leads to the Hanoverian dam line 853/Sudette (by Südul-Nikol-Condor-Campo-Adjutant-Schüppen Bube-Castor-Borwin-Falcon). This line is known for over 40 licensed stallions such as Achat, Derrik, Markus and Pommery (all state stud sires Celle), Lotse and Lützow (both state stud sires Dillenburg), Boss, Primas and Reinicke (all state stud sires Warendorf) as well as the private stallions Aktuell, Erasmus, Konsequent, Liebenberg, Prädikat, Rühmann, Sanford, Tempi Passati, Weltruf, Wilderer and Wildfang as well as the internationally successful show jumpers Lucie 55/Lars Nieberg, Top Gun/Jan Tops (NL) and Wakefield/Lutz Gössing.
