Van Dijk is a powerful and brilliant stallion in the coveted black colour. He is an opulent movement talent in every phase. The trotting work, which is always based on an active hind leg that already has impressive carrying power, has the character of an experience. Always in time, with generous mechanics and significant development of the swing, this is how Van Dijk sets standards. The canter is of no less exquisite quality and, not least in the lunge work, shows qualities for collection moments as well as for reinforcement. In walk, too, Van Dijk shows himself to be relaxed in every phase and to stride generously through the body. With his unshakeable nerves and his willingness to perform, Van Dijk scores points in daily work and emphatically recommends himself as a hopeful dressage mount. Sire Vitalis is the most successful son of the Dutch stallion Vivaldi. Vitalis himself was reserve winner of the NRW licensing in 2009, HLP dressage index winner in 2010, placed at the World Dressage Horse Championships in 2012 and won the Nuremberg Burgpokal Final in Frankfurt in 2016. To date, he has produced 36 successful offspring in advanced (S) level dressage competitions and 44 licensed sons in Germany alone.

The dam, Dulina M, holds the title of main premium mare and is a daughter of the former Celle state stud stallion Duke Ellington. The black stallion, who was bred with quality via Dancier, Weltmeyer and Matcho x, took off in sport after a short stallion career and is Grand Prix-winning under Anna Kleindienst (AUT). The granddam, Lilli M, is a daughter of the formative Lauries Crusador xx, who sired 109 advanced (S) level dressage horses as a thoroughbred stallion. Sherlock Holmes and Brentano II are classic Hanoverian performance sires in the pedigree. Van Dijck's granddam is the sister of the Intermédiaire I successful dressage horse Dante 71/Daniel Bachmann Andersen (DNK)). The Hanoverian line of the demigoddess also produced the successful horses Lichtblick 36 (Grand Prix) and Flaming Heart (Intermédiaire I).
