Typey jumper offspring with Holsteiner performance genetics. Towards the end of his blessed breeding career, the Carthago son Colman, who retired at the end of 2022, has produced a veritable breeding highlight with this young stallion named Colman Gold. The springy trot sequence, the energetic and powerful canter and the jumping ability, which is blessed with both talent and intelligence, combine to create an overall picture of rarely achieved class, and all this in a highly noble guise.
His sire Colman made a name for himself in breeding as one of the most influential sons of the double Olympic champion Carthago. His breeding record includes offspring earnings of more than 3 million euros on the show jumping circuit, well over 150 S-successful children and more than 40 licensed sons. Particularly successful were L.B. Convall (Philipp Weishaupt), winner of the Grand Prix in: Aachen and Calgary, as well as Catwalk IV (Robert Whitaker), who led the field in the Grand Prix of Helsinki, Lausanne and Rome. Typical of Carthago, Colman is regarded as a reliable sire of positive willingness to perform.
The dam Tina XIV is a daughter of the Contender son Con Air, who himself competed in the World and European Championships. His pedigree includes the iron-hard thoroughbred Sir Shostakovich, who has established himself as a sustainable positive sire in various populations, as well as the epochal Holstein stallion Landgraf I. Tina XIV has already produced several successful offspring, most notably Clear Air (by Clarimo), who was licensed by the OS Verband, became Deister Champion at the Dobrock in 2015 and is now competing for Mexico under the name Caramelo with Patricio Pasquel in 1.55 jumping competitions. Colman Gold's half-brother ST-Line (by Stakkato) placed twice in the top five at the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old show jumpers in Warendorf in 2022. In addition, his dam Tina XIV is also the granddam of the Holstein premium stallion Cachassini, who died young, and the half-sister of the 1.45m show jumper Aristo (Ugo Berrittella).
