About Erdinger

Capital winner type

A real "powerhouse", convincing with a lot of motor and mechanics in trot, always uphill oriented in canter and in walk both relaxed and energetic. As expected, he shone in his 14-day test in Neustadt/Dosse in 2017 with top marks as the clear winner in the dressage index. He received the highest trot score of the entire test with 9.5 and finished with an overall index of 8.87. His foal crops once again exceeded all expectations: large-framed foals with movement opulence close to the optimum - that is the Erdinger brand! To date, four high-quality sons have been licensed, including a premium stallion, and his son Elvis in Black advanced to the top prize at his licensing.

Erdinger got off to a flying start in 2019 with sporting support from Sabine Rueben. First international victories with top scores and a victory in a qualifier for the Bundeschampionat are on the CV of the now eight-year-old model pupil, who is currently being prepared for the Grand Prix.

His sire Escolar, who clearly left his mark on Erdinger, was twice Bundeschampion of Stallions with Hermann Burger in 2012 and 2013. Under Hubertus Schmidt, he already won a Grand Prix as a nine-year-old and was nominated for the German championship squad. His offspring stand out everywhere as talented dressage horses and have dominated state and national championships.

Erdinger's dam has already produced the licensed Puerto Rico (by Peking), as well as successful dressage and show jumping horses up to advanced (S) level, including Davy Jones (by Don Laurie I), who is internationally successful up to Grand Prix level under Victoria Suppert. The HLP-winning dam's sire Contender is one of the most proven sires in Germany, whose offspring have earned well over 10 million euros in all disciplines to date. Many highly successful dressage horses also carry the blood of Contender. The great-grandsire Coriander stands for the versatility of the Holsteiner horse like no other. Successful at Grand Prix level himself, he is a valued sire of the very best Holsteiner virtues.

The Holsteiner line 2067 has produced 53 licensed stallions, including Calwahn, Canturano I and II, Carthano, Con Caletto (USA), his internationally successful full brother Con Spirito (SUI), Corvalon, Gondoso (internationally successful with Hugo Simon/AUT), Landstreicher (internationally successful with Toni Hassmann), Lord Logger, his full brothers Lordon I and II, Masetto, Rando, Solid Silver (USA), Sympathico and Umulus-SW (NED) as well as the internationally successful show jumpers Cattani (by. Corrado I) with Geir Gulliksen (NOR), Lausbub (by Landmeister) with Franke Sloothaak, Leonidas 40 (by Lincoln) with Lars Nieberg, Leonardo (by Landmeister) with Franke Sloothaak, Lordon 3 (by Lord) Luciana Diniz (BRA) and Top Secret (by Tin Rocco) with Karina Johannpeter (BRA).
