About Bon Amour

He was already the talk of the town after the pre-selection for the Hanoverian stallion market in Verden, and Bon Amour also scored points at the licensing with his sublime lateral appearance in the clear stallion type, with large parts and his outstanding swinging movements with maximum shoulder freedom and uphill tendency. Especially in the lunge work, he shows great talent for the higher tasks of dressage sport with good interior values and lots of cadence. The signs are favorable that there will be no way around Bon Amour in the 2024 foal crop.

Bon Amour comes from the highly regarded first crop of the stallion Bon Courage. The son of the strong hereditary Intermédiaire I winner Bon Coeur out of a dam descended from the Dutch sire Vivaldi was himself a premium stallion in Verden and three-year-old Vice Bundeschampion in Warendorf.

The dam, the Hanoverian main premium mare Fleur d'Amour, is a daughter of the large-framed main premium winner Fürst Romancier, who is regarded as a producer of excellent dressage horses such as First Romance 2 (Dorothee Schneider). Fleur d'Amour is a successful show mare and, with her two highly decorated daughters, was singled out as an elite family by the Hanoverian Verband in 2022. Previously, she produced the licensed stallion Serious, who is an HLP winner in Sweden, when bred to Secret. Fleur d'Amour's half-brother Fidertraum, by Fidertanz, has been successful in advanced (S) level dressage competitions.

Through the epochal Weltmeyer and the unforgotten noble blood Lauries Crusador xx, the pedigree finds its continuation in a successful line that has been cultivated for generations in the Hanoverian main breeding area of Kehdingen. Both the granddam Walonya and the great-granddam La Rosa were awarded premium mares. His close relatives include a whole host of successful horses. The licensed state stud stallions Wonderful and Bogenschütze are just as much a part of the family as the S-level successful private stallions Riccione and Symphonic as well as the top prize winner at the 2022 Verden Stallion Market, who is descended from Rock Springs. Various representatives of this line shine in the dressage arena at advanced level, with La Picolina and Wiwa celebrating successes up to Grand Prix level.
