About Latinum

Optimally constructed in the coveted black color with generous riding horse sections, Latinum is an eye-catcher. The stallion from the debut crop of the KWPN Champion Stallion Le Formidable is one of the absolute best of his year and was celebrated as a premium stallion at the 2022 Hanoverian Main Licensing in Verden after outstanding performances. Type brilliance paired with talent for movement in all three basic gaits - that is Latinum.

His sire, Le Formidable, was crowned champion of the year at the 2019 KWPN licensing in Den Bosch. With Bordeaux, Ferro and De Niro, he carries the blood of three Grand Prix winners. Le Formidable is presenting his first crop in the current licensing fall/winter.

Latinum's dam Destano's Wolke JM is a daughter of the Sprehe stallion Destano. The son of the championship winner Desperados FRH (Kristina Bröring-Sprehe) is the sire of 27 licensed sons and 13 successful advanced (S) level dressage horses such as Hubertus Schmidt's successful partner Denoix PCH. Destano himself is an international Grand Prix winner and Olympic participant in Tokyo. His daughter Destano's Wolke JM passed an outstanding mare performance test, in which her trot and canter were both awarded a 9.5, was a show winner and, in her still young breeding career, produced another licensed son, Sandiago Hit OLD (by Sandro Hit), who won the bronze medal at the 2021 Oldenburg State Championships for three-year-old stallions.

The granddam Wolke JM is also highly decorated. After an outstanding mare performance test and great show successes, the Wolkentanz I - Wanderbursch II - Bolero daughter became a valuable foundation mare in Johann Martens' breeding program. She is the dam of the licensed S-successful stallion Romeo (by Romanov) and the granddam of the premium stallion Dante's Junior (by Dante Weltino), who died after only a short time at stud. Year after year, high-priced auction foals also go back to Wolke JM. With Waitano and Wohlklang U, two full brothers of Wolke who were successful in advanced (S) level dressage testify to the sportiness of this line.
