Caretino was one of the most versatile sires of his breed, producing horses that reach upper level dressage as well as upper level show jumping, a fact that has been reflected for many years in the German FN's predicted breeding value statistics. The granddam Undra I is dam of the licensed stallion Close-Up (private stallion Westphalia) by Claudio’s Son. Her sire Latino was an attractive stallion of medium size with good expression and pleasing lines. His movements were also very good and impulsive and he consistently passed on this trait. The fourth generation slot is filled by the unforgotten trademark stallion Farnese, the sire of many top athletes in all disciplines (including Franke Sloothaak's Olympic Game horse, Farmer). Lantino comes from the still young Holstein line 8774 which has produced numerous sport horses and highly successful show mares, including the granddam Unora, who was Holstein's best mare during the 80s and stood at the center of attention at the DLG trade fair in Hanover.

Licensed for Holstein, Oldenburg, OS-International, Westphalia and Rhineland as well as all Southern German and new German State Verbands.
