About Toto Gold

A beautifully shaped eleven from the casket of the elite KWPN dressage horse breed with a pedigree in a class of its own: the highly esteemed Glock's Toto Jr meets the full sister of double world champion Jovian. Toto Gold is a representative of European dressage horse breeding in its most modern form. Extremely elegant in habitus, correct in foundation and powerful, dynamic and at the same time tactful in every moment of his swinging movements.

The bloodline combines a concentrated density of championship-winning stallions from the recent past and present. Sire Glock's Toto Jr was the first licensed son of the exceptional stallion Totilas, who died too early and was the most successful dressage horse in the world for many years under Edward Gal and also made a lasting impression on breeding.

Toto Jr's Hanoverian dam is a daughter of the Olympic champion Desperados FRH, who also held the title of the world's most successful dressage horse for a time. The HLP winner Toto Jr is successfully following in the footsteps of his legendary sire. He secured the title of Dutch dressage champion under Edward Gal in 2020 and is ready for international championships. In terms of breeding, he is one of the most sought-after stallions of his generation in Europe.

His dam Idol is the full sister of the reigning world champion of seven-year-old dressage horses, the licensed stallion Jovian. Her sire Apache was reserve champion at the KWPN licensing and competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon under Emmelie Scholtens (NL). He left several important stallion sons to the breed and is also the paternal grandfather of the stallion Galaxy. Idol is also the half-sister of the Intermédiaire I-successful Friend (by Rousseau). The granddam Zinith is the half-sister of the mare Upshot, who in turn is the dam of the licensed stallion Astrix, who won the World Championships for five and six-year-old dressage horses in 2010 and 2011. Toto Gold's grandfather Tango was himself successful in the big dressage arena.
