About Dimaggio Black

From insider's tip to shooting star

A licensed son of the former young horse world champion Dimaggio, who died far too early, is hard to find these days. A Dimaggio son out of an outstanding dam, who has already produced two premium stallions in Vechta, who turns his stallion performance test into a victory at his first show start, and then comes along with an outstanding basic gaits arrangement in the coveted black color of all things...! It sounds like a fairytale from 1001 Nights, but that is exactly what Dimaggio Black's calling card is. He was the all-conquering measure of all things at the sport test in Münster/Handorf, winning the test by a wide margin with a phenomenal final score of 9.40. In 2022, Dimaggio Black shone on his debut on the international stage. He achieved dream scores under Beatrice Arturi. At his international start in Samorin, he won the test with over 83%. But that wasn't all: at the following international show in Deauville, France, the pair went one better with a sensational score of 90.6%. Dimaggio Black's first foal crops left nothing to be desired with highly modern, talented exhibits.

Sire Dimaggio is also posthumously one of the most popular representatives of the Donnerhall line. He himself was fourth at the 1999 Bundeschampionat, World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Arnheim/NED in 2000 and subsequently victorious up to Intermédiaire I. In terms of breeding, he sired many top horses for modern dressage sport. 73 of his offspring have placed at advanced level in Germany alone, most notably Duke of Britain (Frederic Wandres).

His dam Feela is a four-time stallion dam. With Christ, she has already produced the Grand Prix-placed I c premium stallion at the 2011 Oldenburg licensing, Cristall, with Diamond Hit the Vechta premium stallion and World Championship participant Diamond First in 2015 and another licensed son when bred to Marc Cain. The dam's sire Fürst Heinrich was the celebrated World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in 2003 in Verden and became a stamp stallion with worldwide appeal in Benstrup. Via the Holsteiner Famos and Benedictus, the pedigree leads to a thoroughbred line that is widespread in Holstein breeding.
